11th edition of Goodman & Gilman’s The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics is 5% shorter than its predecessor, yet the volume still weighs 4 kg. It’s a wonderful book but clearly too heavy to carry around. Hence, this shorter, more portable version, Goodman & Gilman’s Manual of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. This book can be said as encyclopedia of drugs. It explains all the facts about drugs and medicine in such a detail that after reading this book one can easily be said as the master of this field. The book is divided into XV sections. The 1st two sections explain the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles of pharmacology. The rest of the sections are classified according to organ system and each section explains the complete pharmacology of  the drugs affecting a particular organ system.
